Social Events
There will be a number of organised social events, including an Elizabethan Banquet at Hatfield House and a trip on the river Thames. Further details will be posted when available.
Monday - Pub quiz
We'll finish the first full day of the conference with a pub quiz in the de Havilland restaurant.
Tuesday - Trip to St Albans
The historic town of St Albans is a short journey from the de Havilland Campus. There is a wide variety of pubs and restaurants to pick from and you may want to visit the Roman ruins and the Abbey church.
Wednesday - Conference Dinner at Hatfield Houses
The Conference Dinner will be a private Banquet at Hatfield House, previously home to Elizabeth I of England. During the evening, the Hatfield Players will treat you to authentic Elizabethan period music, song and theatre. King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I, together with their Courtiers, will amuse and entertain you. After dinner, you will be able to dance the evening away to the resident discotheque. Thursday - River Thames Cruise
The conference trip will be a three hour boat ride on the Thames, starting at 19.00, viewing some of the famous sites of London. A buffet meal will be provided together with drinks (a pay bar will also be available).
